Online Forum 2020 Series 2 features student panelists
Students from five countries will be featured in a panel discussion called “Going Digital: Learning from the Learners” as Series 2 of the Online Forum 2020 of the ASEAN-QA Association. This will be on August 27, 2020, 2:00 PM Bangkok/Jakarta time/ GMT +7 via Zoom.
This event aims to involve the students, as an important stakeholder, in the discourse on the shift to online teaching and learning brought about by the pandemic, look at how higher education institutions have involved them in quality assurance processes, and learn from them in the midst of this continuing process of adapting to the new normal.
The panelists are Nicolette Kezia, Atma Jaya Catholic University (Indonesia); Santi Silairatana, Mahidol University (Thailand); Moeng Champey, Phnom Penh International University (Cambodia); Mariana Noleto Wanderley, University of Potsdam (Germany); and Nur Farah Shazana Rashidi, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Malaysia).
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Ronald Allan Mabunga, vice president for planning, research and quality assurance of the Philippine Normal University, Philippines; and Ms. Miné de Klerk, hybrid learning program manager of Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
Online Forum 2020 launched its series with “Going Digital: How Do We Assure Quality in the Shift” on July 23. This well-attended event featured case presentations and a workshop. On September 30, Series 3 called “Going Digital: Assuring Quality in Assessment” will present assessment experts from Asia and Europe.
The ASEAN-QA Online Forum 2020 is made possible through the efforts of the ASEAN-QA Association in partnership with the ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN), ASEAN University Network (AUN), European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), German Rectors’ Conference (HRK), Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development (SEAMEO-RIHED), and the University of Potsdam (Germany).
